We Look Forward to Meeting You!

Atmosphere

We are glad to have you join us in worship!  It is important to us that you feel welcome when visiting and we hope our atmosphere will help you feel relaxed and comfortable. The music and worship are built around Biblical themes that are timeless.  You will be greeted and welcomed.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics, you are welcome at Calvary Church and we are excited for you to consider being a part of our church family! Our intent is to serve the whole family. During our worship service, we have facilities and classes available for infants and children.

Biblical Teaching

Here at Calvary Church, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God's Word.

From the pulpit you will hear sound expository preaching. The focus of each sermon is built around the point of the Biblical text being addressed.

The worship service is a time for us to come together as a community to learn, be encouraged and to be challenged by God's Word. Other opportunities exist beyond the Sunday worship service where members have a chance to grow, fellowship, or otherwise be a part of a Church family that lives out their faith together.

Questions & Answers

Here are some answers to common questions.

Calvary Church enjoys a Contemporary Worship Service; which begins at 10:00 am.

A time of prayer and reflection begins at 9:15 am; prior to the start of our worship service.

God's word is at the center of all of our gatherings. Each service includes a time of Prayer, Singing, Preaching and Giving. The sermons are built on God’s Word, not the pastor's ideas, and aim at transforming our lives to be more like Jesus Christ

Children's Church is offered to all children in grades K-4 through 6th. All children are dismissed to their appropriate classrooms following praise and worship in the main sanctuary. Nursery and Pre-School children may be taken to the designated rooms prior to the start of service, if desired.

THE NURSERY CURRENTLY REMAINS CLOSED.  SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS CAN BE MADE FOR THOSE THAT MUST ATTEND TO THE NEEDS OR THIER INFANT OR TODDLER.

A Nursery and Pre-School class are offered for the little ones. The nursery and other classrooms are located just off of the Fellowship Hall in the lower level. Parents are encouraged to drop-off and pick-up their children at the appropriate times.

Youth in grades 7 through 12 typically stay with the adults during Sunday Morning Worship. The Youth Ministry meets on the second and fourth Sunday of each month at 6:00 pm.

The Lord's Supper (Communion) is observed on the Second Sunday of each month. All those in attendance are welcome to participate.  Individually sealed and packaged Fellowship Cups are used in our Communion Service.

A Fellowship Meal is held on the First Sunday of each month immediately after the morning worship service. All in attendace are welcome to join the fun, food, and fellowship.  THE MONTHLY FELLOWSHIP MEAL IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

We have a parking lot adjacent to the church building with designated handicap spots. The accessible entrance to the building is located at the parking lot entrance for easy "drop-off."

The main entrance will lead you into the narthex or gathering area.  Restrooms are located to the right of the gathering area; the stairwell leading to the nursery and children's classroms is located to the left of the gathering area.  The sanctuary entrance is just a short walk through the gathering area.

The accessible entrance will lead you directly into the side entrance of the sanctuary.

We are more concerned about you and your presence with us than we are with what you wear. As a church, we gather to worship the Lord and want to dress in a way that honors God. Most of our members wear something in the range of business casual to casual.

The following are the most recent Guidelines and Plans for In-Person Gatherings:

  • All in-person gatherings are open to all members and visitors that wish to attend.

  • Face coverings are not required for in-person gatherings – regardless of one’s covid vaccination status.  Consistory remains hopeful, however, that our Calvary Church family will continue to keep one another in mind and to respect one another’s personal choices, as well as love, and care for one another as we further progress to more “normal” operations.  Consistory also encourages all members and visitors to continue to be diligent in embracing safety and respectfulness during our in-person gatherings.

  • When preparing to attend an in-person gathering, if you or anyone in your household is feeling any of the symptoms of COVID-19, influenza, or any other illness, please stay home.

  • Live Streaming of Sunday morning worship services will continue.  Live services can be viewed on our website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel.  Recordings of each weekly sermon are posted on our website, www.calvarylebanon.org, to view at your leisure.

  • The sanctuary seating has been restored to its pre-pandemic setup.  The building continues to be sanitized and cleaned each week.  Hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the sanctuary, bathrooms, and narthex.
  • The nursery and lower-level facilities are now open.  Sanitization stations are available in the lower level.

  • We will continue to use self-contained fellowship cups for communion services until further notice.

  • Prayer Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month will meet in the Sanctuary.

  • The weekly Wednesday evening Bible Study will be held in the lower level.

  • Sunday morning prayer will be held in the lower level and will begin at 9:15 am.

  • The monthly Men’s Meeting and Women’s Meeting will meet in the lower level.

  • The monthly “Stay for Lunch” has resumed.  “Coffee Gatherings” remain on hold until further notice.

  • Adjustments to these guidelines and plans will be made as the need arises.  Should you have any questions or comments relative to these guidelines and plans please contact any member of Consistory.
